Valentine’s Day may be behind us for another year, but love is still very much in the air at one of London’s most luxurious (and highest) hotels. Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard is offering the ultimate proposal experience for besotted couples ready to take the next step.
Named Proposal in the Clouds due to its sky-high location in Europe’s tallest building, this extraordinary £26,000 ($33,700) package includes over-the-top experiences such as a luxury pick-up in a Rolls-Royce Phantom and a two-night stay in the stunning Shangri-La Suite.
Shangri-La London have enlisted the help of specialist planners The Proposers, who will transform the suite into a dream-come-true setting, adorned with balloons, decorations and large illuminated letters spelling out the words ‘Marry Me. This once-in-a-lifetime scene will be set against the backdrop of London’s dramatic skyline – from sweeping daytime views to romantic sunsets.
The Proposers will work with the man or woman (it is a leap year after all) in curating their perfect setting for popping the question. Everything about the décor is customizable while there is also an option to have a videographer, photographer and musician present.
Daisy Amodio, founder of The Proposers, said: “For us, every couple is different, so we tailor each design to create a truly bespoke and personalized proposal based on their relationship. From themed sets to singing flash mobs and the ultimate romantic installations, we want to make sure we’re creating the proposal dreams are made of.”
Assuming the answer is ‘yes’, the couple will be treated to two days filled with the most exclusive experiences the hotel has to offer. The couple will wake up in their suite to a champagne breakfast before enjoying a private caviar tasting menu with champagne and wine pairings in the hotel’s TĪNG Restaurant and Lounge,
Guests will also be given access to the Sky Pool and Gym, located on level 52 of The Shard, and treated to a selection of Neal’s Yard Remedies organic health and beauty products and personalized embroidered bathrobes to take home.
