Portofino’s Splendido, A Belmond Hotel, has unveiled a series of stunning renovations, introducing Villa Beatrice as its first private villa on the Italian Riviera. Perched on a secluded spot above Punta Caiega, the villa boasts breathtaking views over the Ligurian coast and will begin to welcome guests in July 2025.
Villa Beatrice offers lovers of the Italian Riviera a unique blend of seclusion and luxury. Set within the surrounding national park with private ocean access, the villa allows guests full use of Splendido’s amenities while remaining a world apart.

Guests of the villa will enjoy exclusive use of the property, with room to comfortably accommodate ten guests. The property’s main house is spread across three main floors with four suites, and is complemented by ‘La Casetta’, a separate one-bedroom cottage, located among fragrant citrus groves.
Originally designed in the early 20th century by celebrated Tuscan architect Gino Coppede, the palazzo has been carefully reimagined in the modern day by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio. In a tribute to the building’s heritage, the renovation preserved the villa’s original frescoes and marble detailing, adding curated antiques and regional artworks to enhance the interior’s Italian charm.

“The guiding vision for Villa Beatrice was to create a space that seamlessly blends modern sophistication with the rich history of the Ligurian coast, where guests feel as though they’ve been welcomed into a cherished family villa; lovingly upheld and enriched by generations,” said Martin Brudizki, founder of Martin Brudnizki Design Studio.
Alongside strolling the halls of the palatial villa, guests of Villa Beatrice can spend their afternoons relaxing by the private pool, lounging on the outdoor terraces and enjoying shaded al fresco dining. In true Belmond fashion, guests of the villa also get access to a dedicated butler, available around the clock. A private chauffeur is on hand to explore the glittering coastline and an expertly curated wine collection by Splendido’s head sommelier. For those looking to celebrate, Villa Beatrice also boasts a sizeable terrace suitable for hosting thirty guests.

“As Splendido preserves its four-century heritage in Portofino, the addition of Villa Beatrice to the Belmond portfolio enhances our foothold in this captivating region, setting a new standard for luxury and privacy, and further solidifying Belmond’s legacy as proud custodians of storied properties and purveyor of incomparable experiences,” said Alfonso Pacifico, the area’s managing director and general manager of Splendido, A Belmond Hotel.
As part of Splendido’s ongoing transformation, the main hotel building has also received an elegant refresh. Guests will find a redesigned cocktail bar and a luxurious Dior Spa with four new treatment cabins. These improvements continue the hotel’s multi-phase renovation, which in recent years has introduced new guest rooms, a redesigned lobby, a refreshed pool area overlooking the Ligurian Bay and the celebrated Splendido Grill.
