A Luxury Valentine’s Day Weekend in Napa Valley

By Chris Boyle

There’s nowhere more romantic than Napa Valley on Valentine’s Day, known for its world-class wine and food and its lush, spectacular views. This luxury romance package offers a glimpse at the rarified Wine Country lifestyle, much of which is not open to the public.

For example, you will have exclusive access to top wine and food celebrities and destinations in Napa Valley, you be able to interact with some of these celebrities, you will be able to build your wine collection with top-rated, hard-to-find wines, to hear an insider’s knowledge of Napa Valley, as well as to build private moments of romance and beauty that the two of you will treasure together for the rest of your lives.

Friday, February 14:

How better to set the mood on Valentine’s Day, then to board a private Citation X Luxury jet headed for Napa? Settle into the leather seats and enjoy a “flight” of wine to get you in the right setting for Napa Valley, even before you arrive. A chauffeur will be on hand in Napa to take you around all weekend in style, including chilled Domaine Carneros sparkling wine and crystal glasses in your limousine.

Check into your private suite at the award-winning and exclusive Bardessono Hotel and Spa in Yountville, situated in the “heart” of wine country with its own vineyard outside your window. You will find two dozen long-stem red roses in your room, setting the tone for the most romantic weekend of your life in Napa Valley.

Evening: Your chauffeur-driven car will whisk you off to dinner at the world-class Auberge Du Soleil restaurant, which features the largest and most extensive wine list in Napa Valley and Executive Chef Robert Curry’s inspired cuisine that reflects the natural diversity and rich ingredients of California’s Napa Valley. Set high upon a hill overlooking the terroir of Napa Valley, you will enjoy a candlelit dinner that will only make your tastebuds wonder what could possibly beat this?

Saturday, February 15:

Sunrise: Discover the beauty of Napa Valley vineyards from the sky, as the two of you float above the beautiful and magical Napa Valley in a private hot air balloon, with homebaked muffins, top-grade coffee and mimosas, in what may prove to be one of your most memorable and romantic mornings ever.

Afternoon: Luxuriate in your private suite with side-by-side, one-hour couples spa treatments from the well-known Bardessono Spa professionals. Each spa treatment is designed around your particular health and beauty needs, as well as the season. For example, you may want to enhance your immune system and circulation in winter.

Evening: Enjoy a private cooking lesson with Emmy award-winning celebrity chef Michael Chiarello at Bottega, followed by a private and exclusive dinner in the intimate setting of Bottega’s wine room with Michael and his wife Eileen. Michael will then present you with a case of his highly rated, small production, estate grown Chiarello Vineyards wines for your collection.

Sunday, February 16

Late morning to afternoon: After having breakfast in the privacy of your suite, you will be taken by third- generation Napa Valley resident and owner of Beyond The Label Napa Valley (a high-end Napa Valley tour company) on an insider’s tour of Napa Valley, including a private wine tasting with one of Napa Valley’s most sought-after vintners – something which is not open to the public.

Enjoy a catered lunch with world-renowned winemakers Phillipe and Cherie Melka, in the private setting of their home, paired with hard-to-find Melka wines (often rated 100 points). After lunch, you won’t leave empty-handed – you will be given a case of highly coveted and rare Melka top-rated wines for your collection.

Evening: You’ve seen the terroir, you’ve created dinner with local food celebrities, you’ve had some of the best wine in the world, but now be prepared for the food pinnacle of the trip — a romantic dinner at French Laundry, the world-famous Michelin three-star (5 years in a row) restaurant run by celebrity chef Thomas Keller.

Be prepared for the meal of your life, using ingredients from the French Laundry garden across the street, and an unrivaled level of food innovation and quality.

Monday, February 17

The weekend went fast, didn’t it? You will be picked up at the Bardessono Hotel by a chauffer-driven car and driven to the Napa Airport where you will fly back home in your private Citation X Luxury Jet.

Cost: $100,000.00*

*Note: The Private Jet can be substituted with first-class airline tickets (to and from San Francisco International Airport). The cost for the weekend with this option is $50,000.
