As of 18 September 2007, Air France is expanding its code-share agreement with the Australian carrier Qantas with a new route to Denpasar, capital of Bali in Indonesia.
In addition to services to Australia via Singapore (December 2004), and subsequently via Hong Kong (May 2007), the Indonesian province of Bali will be served with 2 weekly flights (Tuesdays and Saturdays) from Singapore.
These two frequencies operated by Qantas on behalf of Air France complement KLM’s flight offer to Indonesia, with one daily flight from Amsterdam – Kuala Lumpur – Jakarta.
Passengers flying on the daily Air France flight between Paris-CDG2 and Singapore will be able to connect with a Qantas flight to Denpasar. The same service will be available in the opposite direction, between Bali and France. Air France’s convenient flight times ensure minimum transit time in Singapore.
Both airlines’ flights between France and the province of Bali will be sold under their respective “AF” (Air France) and “QF” (Qantas) codes. Air France passengers who are members of theFlying Blue program will be able to earn Miles on “AF” flights.
