For more than a century, The Connaught in London has stood as an emblem of discreet and authentic elegance and the beloved Mayfair landmark is delighted to announce the Aman spa at The Connaught, which will open in November 2009. Aman Resorts are renowned as the unrivaled leaders in the luxury spa industry, and the spa at The Connaught will represent their first stand-alone spa. The world-class spa will further establish the Mayfair gem as London’s premier hotel destination.
The Aman Spa will be located in the newly built west wing of The Connaught and will be a unique juxtaposition to the hotel’s interiors, boasting a contemporary design with an Asian-inspired twist. The intimate, 1,640 square foot space welcomes guests with cool oak wood floors and lightly hued furniture contrasted with the bold textures of carved wood, ceiling trellises and bronze accents. The spa features five treatment rooms, four of which are designed for single treatments and one for double treatments, all with personal steam rooms. Operating with a holistic approach to the lifestyle spa experience, the spa will also featured a stunning indoor pool with a serene waterfall at one end as well as a state-of-the-art fitness facility with Technogym equipment, adding a further dimension to the guest experience.
The spa menu will offer a wide range of spa and beauty treatments, instilled with the beauty and allure of ancient traditions and the sophistication of modern spa techniques. Inspired by various Asian cultures and traditions, “Aman Experience” treatments will reflect the locations of other Aman Spas to incorporate traditional healing methods from Thailand, China and India. The sense of ritual and devotion that is inherent to many of these cultures is maintained, even nurtured, so that the treatments reflect the beauty, grace and mystery of the ancient times from which they evolved. The Connaught is renowned for its exceptional service, which will be reflected in the spa, with each experience being tailored for the individual.
