Shingletown, Calif. – Destination winery Anselmo Vineyards & 7 Hills Ranch has announced that it has officially opened its doors to the public. The opening marks the start of a new era in the property’s rich history and introduces a new, exciting destination for wine enthusiasts and adventurers alike.
Anselmo Vineyards proudly produces, harvests and bottles a variety of exceptional wines on its spectacular 2,400 acre property, including an award-winning 2006 Merlot and a “Majorette”; a base of Merlot combined with Petit Syrah and Cabernet Franc grapes.
Equally unique is Anselmo’s “St. Pe’ de Bigorre Blanc”; a 75 percent Gewurztraminer, 25 percent Sauvignon Blanc.
Guests are invited to taste Anselmo’s array of wines in the new luxurious tasting room, which is just steps from the winery itself. The tasting room was decorated by interior designer, Kathryn Waltzer, who was inspired by the spirit of the old west and the new world. A wine tasting patio provides a place for visitors to relax and enjoy the fine wines and exquisite natural surroundings. The grounds of Anselmo Vineyards & 7 Hills Ranch include: sprawling fields of pasture, hay, and livestock, a 200-foot waterfall; and spectacular views of Mt. Lassen, Mt. Shasta and the Trinity Mountains. The ranch also offers leisurely horseback rides and hiking for those who wish to take advantage of the beautiful setting. Fly fishing, camping and hunting will be offered in the near-future.
