Aruba is continuing to add upper end inventory following its gain of a Ritz-Carlton. Long a favorite place to go for windsurfing and kite surfacing, scuba and snorkeling, which includes the wreck of the Antilla, at 400 feet the biggest in the Caribbean, horseback riding on the beach and of course its sizzling casino led nightlife, Blue Residences opening next week offers a luxury condominium resort.
Units start at about $750,000 for two-bedroom and into the millions for five bedroom penthouses. However, if you just want to visit there is hotel inventory. Eighty-four ocean view units open this year in two phases with 40 more to follow in 2015. There is a full service spa and concierge services. Amenities include full kitchen, dining room and living room, cable TV, and in some suites private Jacuzzi terraces. If you want to stay connected there is WiFi throughout the resort. Nightly rates vary by season and type of unit.
