Asia Jet placed an order to Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. for three aircraft, a Gulfstream G150, G200 and G250. The aircraft will be in charter service from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, Mainland China following delivery in 2011 and 2012.
Asia Jet, a Hong Kong-based private charter company, has one of the largest charter fleets in the region, and branch offices in Shanghai and Tokyo. Asia Jet today announced it has signed an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding with China Eastern Airlines to manage these aircraft in Mainland China. As part of this agreement, Asia Jet has been duly appointed the exclusive sales and marketing agent for all Part 135 aircraft under China Eastern Airlines’ newly formed Aircraft Operating Certificate for the region.
