Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park smells a whole lot sweeter, thanks to a collaboration with London-based perfumery Ormonde Jayne. The chosen scent is Isfarkand, an award-winning unisex cologne with top notes of mandarin, pure pink pepper, cedar and vetiver. All rooms and suites now feature a full range of Isfarkand products, including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion and soap.
“Isfarkand is a timeless scent,” says Linda Pilkington, perfumer and founder of Ormonde Jayne. “It is masculine yet feminine, striking yet incredibly sensual, and utterly habit-forming, rather like a stay at a Mandarin Oriental.”
To celebrate the partnership, the hotel is offering a Scented Stay package throughout February. Guests, residing in a luxurious room perfumed by a Ta’if Damascus rose-fragranced candle, are invited to one of Ormonde Jayne’s three London stores for a complimentary Perfume Portrait, a bespoke service that uses fragrant oils to help unearth their signature scent.
