Banyan Tree Phuket triumphed at Condé Nast Traveler 20th Annual Readers’ Choice Awards, inching up the ranking to number two in the Top 10 Asia Resorts category. Just last year, readers voted it to number three position, a significant jump from number 10 in 2005. In the same awards, Banyan Tree Phuket also improved its ranking to number eight in the Top 100 Resorts of the world, moving up from unranked status in 2005. The awards are testimony that the signature DoublePool Villas and other new innovations have propelled the property to new heights among the US and international readers of the esteemed Condé Nast Traveler magazine.
Banyan Tree Spa clinched the coveted Best Spa Operator title given out at TTG Travel Awards 2007 for the third consecutive year. The win signified Banyan Tree Spa’s consistently high standards in spite of recent expansions worldwide. Banyan Tree Spa Phuket also continues to win new recognitions, with the Spa Finder Readers’ Choice Awards 2007 calling it the Favourite Spa in Southeast Asia, and I-S Magazine Readers’ Choice Awards 2007 calling it the Best Spa Resort in Asia.
Opened respectively in 2005 and 2006, Banyan Tree Ringha and Banyan Tree Lijiang in China are sensitive heritage resorts being introduced to these remote, spectacular regions. Travel + Leisure China voted Banyan Tree Ringha one of the Top 100 Best Hotels in China, while Banyan Tree Lijiang is one of the New Hotels Recommended in China.
On a corporate level, Banyan Tree Holdings Limited has maintained a clear communication policy since it debuted on the Singapore Exchange in 2006. For this, it was awarded Most Transparent Company in the Hotels category at the 8th Investors’ Choice Awards 2007 organised by the Securities Investors Association of Singapore.
