Borgo Finocchieto, a private retreat in the Tuscan hills, announces that it is now accepting reservations for travelers, small groups, families, and weddings seeking a private enclave that is also an ideal base for experiencing the cultural richness and geographic beauty of the Montalcino region of Italy, and doing so with unsurpassed intimacy and personalized service.
“We are proud to invite visitors to experience the sense of community, conviviality and contemplative relaxation that is unique to the Borgo,” said Marco Albanese, General Manager. “In past months we have been honored to welcome distinguished leaders of business, government and culture from around the world, whose appreciation for our destination is remarkable.”
Restoration of the Borgo’s main villa and independent houses encompassing 22 luxurious rooms was completed less than a year ago, on the site of a farming village on the historic Villa Francigena, the medieval pilgrimage route from Canterbury to Rome.
The result allows guests to experience a world class retreat that functions as its own community, but permits a level of relaxed flexibility and personalized service available nowhere else in Tuscany.
The Borgo’s gathering spaces include a formal dining room and outdoor terrace, a living room with grand piano and study, a state of the art media room, lounge, conference facility, and a gazebo, a 60-foot oval pool and a 5000 square-foot spa overlooking the hills of Tuscany. Guests are also pampered by the owner’s personal chef, who prepares meals to suit the tastes of the most discriminating palate. Upon check in, guests will also find that each room has been designed with period pieces as well as modern amenities to provide the authenticity of the past alongside the comforts of the present. Personalized itineraries and on-site activities[MH2] are tailored to meet the needs and interests of each visitor to the Borgo.
