ATLANTA, GA – With the upcoming opening of Capella Pedregal (Cabo San Lucas, summer, 2009) and Capella Bahia Maroma (Riviera Maya, November 2009), the exclusive new spa brand Auriga will make its Mexican debut. The two spas in Mexico follow on the heels of the first-ever Auriga, which opened at Schloss Velden, a Capella Hotel (Austria) in 2007 and has already garnered several of the industry’s most prestigious honors.
Distinguishing the Auriga brand are four signature treatments based on the cycles of the moon. By tapping into the lunar rhythms, the treatments work to realign mind, body and spirit, restoring balance with nature. Each is offered only during its corresponding lunar phase: New Moon, to stimulate and awaken; Waxing Moon, to “sow the seeds” and nourish; Full Moon, to bring one to the height of his or her potential; and Waning Moon, designed to cleanse body and spirit.
The Auriga at Capella Pedregal will be the first spa in Mexico designed by world-acclaimed Sylvia Sepielli, whose spas are recognized throughout the world for the authenticity of their treatments based on local traditions. In Mexico, Sepielli has worked along with a curandera to create distinctive health, beauty and wellness programs that will be offered exclusively at this Cabo San Lucas resort.
