The fascination for boots characterizes his whole life, ever since the age of five. In Zaragoza, Mexico, his grandfather gave him his own first boots. While at college, Pedro Muñoz designed a pair of boots entirely from his own imagination and had them made up individually by his father’s shoemaker. In so doing, he discovered his passion for the laborious process, during which a perfect comfortable boot comes into existence, made from the finest leather with concentrated craftsmanship by experienced and skilled hands.
Five years later, the Stallion Boot & Belt Co. was founded under his aegis in El Paso, Texas. The handmade boots, belts and leather accessories from his manufactory have become “musts” in the much sought-after ranges of the best fashion addresses, such as Colette in Paris or Bergdorf Goodman in New York, as well as on the catwalks in Paris, Milan and New York. Pedro Muñoz travels the world in search of exotic, highest quality leathers such as alligator, crocodile, cayman, lizard, elephant, hippopotamus, python, ostrich or stingrays. He combines these with exquisite metals or stones in unusual creations. Stallion is one of the world’s last companies, still making boots and belts exclusively with traditional handcraft methods. So production output stands at only 70 pairs of boots per week, which are attractive for their inimitable quality and durability. “By enhancing designs from the rich history of cowboy boots with new ideas, I am creating modern classics. This passion and the quality of the materials and the devotion to and love of the minutest details in production can be detected in every individual Stallion article,” explains Pedro Muñoz.
