GRAND CAYMAN, CAYMAN ISLANDS — Celebrity Chef Eric Ripert, creator of Blue by Eric Ripert at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman; Anthony Bourdain, Dean Fearing, Ingrid Hoffman, Laurent Manrique, Michel Richard and Laurent Tourondel, accompanied by wine experts Anthony Giglio, Ray Isle, Joy Spence and Joshua Wesson will all come together from January 16-18, 2009 for Cayman Cookout.
Sponsored by Cayman Islands Department of Tourism and The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, Cayman Cookout will provide visitors an elite weekend celebrating food, wine, and the barefoot elegance and beauty of Cayman, with great care taken to be as locally focused as possible.
Guests will choose from events such as an intimate tour of the famous Stingray City with Eric Ripert as he makes a conch ceviche; a beachside cooking demonstration highlighting Ingrid Hoffman’s Simply Delicioso style; or a wine tasting with Food & Wine’s Ray Isle on Seven Mile Beach.
Saturday, January 17th will feature a special “Cooks” tour to Cayman’s historic Pedro St. James Castle with Tony Bourdain. Tony will personally guide guests through a taste of Cayman, sampling the freshest local cuisine presented by Caymanians including delicacies such as conch and cassava from at one of the most breathtaking seaside settings.
