Nantucket, Massachusetts – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
Lark Hotels, an independent hospitality company launched in 2012, has announced the addition of the 11-room Chapman House to its roster of stylish and luxe hotels located in iconic coastal New England settings. Situated in the heart of Nantucket town in a landmark structure built in 1717, Chapman House will begin welcoming guests June 15th, 2012. Rates, depending on season, will range from $129-$399. Chapman House is located at 20 North Water Street.
Together with its sister property, Lark Hotel’s 18-room Veranda House, which is located around the corner in a structure built in 1684, Chapman House will provide a respite of tranquility and exciting décor. The interior design aesthetic at Chapman House will infuse a mix of unique, modern touches that subtly brings a mood of urban opulence ˆ a feeling that is typically uncommon to the region – to the hotel.
Chapman House will feature the interior design concept of acclaimed Boston firm Rachel Reider Interiors. Ms. Reider was the 2011 Winner of New England Home Magazine’s 5 Under 40 Award for interior design. For Chapman House, Ms. Reider has infused a modern-meets-coastal décor pairing white and gray tones with golden wood and colorful pops of turquoise and red. Ms. Reider also spearheaded the redesign of The Veranda House.
“Developing a worthy companion to The Veranda House was an exhilarating challenge,” commented Rob Blood, founder and CEO of Lark Hotels. “Our guests have come to expect modern, stylish experiences framed in extraordinary historic settings. The location of Chapman House, with its luxuriant layout, tremendous attention to detail, and close proximity to The Veranda House, proved an irresistible fit.”
Guests of Chapman House will enjoy all the special touches that The Veranda House has become known for since it opened in 2006. These include highly personalized concierge services, complimentary Wi-Fi, fine linens and robes, 32‰ flat panel TV / DVDs and iPod docking stations. Additionally, guests may enjoy champagne receptions held every afternoon in the garden of The Veranda House.
