Conrad Unveils Global VVIP Shopping and Suites Offers

Shopping is without a doubt part of the private jet lifestyle. A report published this week by Wealth-X established that Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) consumers like you account for 19 percent of all global luxury purchases, spending $234 billion along the way. Of course, beating the crowds as a VVIP is the preferred way of shopping for elite travelers.

With that in mind, Conrad Hotels & Resorts has launched Shop the City by Conrad, “a seasonal guest package connecting travelers to local cities and culture by way of an exclusive, luxury shopping excursion.”

The program takes the stress out of worrying where to go by creating “a shopping experience” that includes a two-night minimum stay in a suite, a private chauffeured Range Rover SWB, and a personal shopping escort to guide you during your buying, browsing, and buying.


In announcing the program, participants are assured it is okay to divert from shopping to take in a museum or other attractions, or stop for a bite to eat.

“Conrad hotels around the world provide guests with meaningful and experiential ways to connect with the cultures that surround them,” said John T.A. Vanderslice (below), global head, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, in a press release. “Whether our guests’ travels take them to sought-after destinations such as Miami, Seoul, or London, our Shop the City by Conrad program offers them a world of personalized style in the heart of each city.”

Through December 21 the new Conrad London St. James will serve as the backdrop for the first Shop the City experience.


For the London debut, participating retail brands include Paul Smith – famous for its clothing and accessories collections; Harvey Nichols – known for the very latest in luxury designer womenswear, menswear, beauty, and food; Fortnum & Mason – specializing in food, drink, gifts, and entertaining; and Bremont – an award-winning British company producing chronometer watches in Henley on Thames, England.
