Culinary News From The Dorchester

And, like a cherry on top, three star Michelin restaurant Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester celebrates its newest accolade – “Best Hotel Dining” from Virtuoso Life’s annual “Best of the Best” awards for 2010. The hotel is certainly heating up delicious culinary experiences for the season ahead: • The Krug Room at The Dorchester unveils a new calendar of culinary master classes in which guests will have a rare opportunity to learn hands-on technique and dine with Executive Chef Henry Brosi for the latest series of informative, but relaxed lunches. All master class dishes will be created from the finest ingredients and paired with wines and Krug Champagnes. Set in the newly refurbished Krug Room, this intimate and glamorous setting is nestled in the heart of the hotel’s award-winning kitchen with the chef’s table separated by a state-of-the-art liquid crystal glass revealing a clear view of behind-the-scenes kitchen activity. Themes include: o British Game Birds, Grouse and Roe Deer (October 16, 2010) o Black Perigord Truffle (February 19, 2011) o Spring Lamb and Wild Salmon (April 16, 2011) o Continental White Asparagus (May 21, 2011) o English and Wild Strawberries with Raspberries and Pimm’s Cocktails (July 16, 2011) o British Game and Bird (October 15, 2011) • Bombay Sapphire recently selected The Bar at The Dorchester as the exclusive destination for its newest cocktail creation, the “Bombay Londres” which launches in September. The cocktail made of Bombay Sapphire Gin, Darjeeling tea, mango, lime and ginger is available through December 31, 2010. The cocktail fits right in at The Bar, where legendary Bar Manager Giuliano Morandin offers renowned creativity by the glass, from timeless and forgotten classics to spirited originals like the popular Champagne Shimmer “lip gloss” cocktail. For true cocktail enthusiasts, Giuliano and his team offer private cocktail ‘master classes’ which can be booked for private parties of up to five guests subject to availability. • Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, athe strikingly modern, contemporary French restaurant was recently named “Best Hotel Dining” experience by the Virtuoso travel network in Virtuoso Life’s annual “Best of the Best” awards for 2010. The honor puts the three-year-old signature restaurant at the top of 800 world-class properties considered by Virtuoso travel advisors and knowledgeable travel professionals.
