Highlights:
-The 201-room luxury resort will be the first outpost of the highly acclaimed Spruce Restaurant in San Francisco. Food & Wine’s former “Best New Chef ” Mark Sullivan will oversee food & beverage for the entire resort. While many luxury hotels have brought in top chefs to oversee particular restaurants, Dakota Mountain Lodge is unique. Spruce Park City is the main dining outlet for the whole property, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service and even meetings and events. Guests of Dakota enjoy contemporary American cuisine with locally grown, premium ingredients for a perfect après-ski experience.
-The Golden Door Spa at Dakota Mountain Lodge is the first hybrid spa from Golden Door. It will serve as a day spa for locals (with a membership program); resort spa for travelers; and a destination wellness retreat for true spa aficionados. Guests will have the option to participate in week-long Golden Door experiences or to even partake in a day or two of the immersion experience while they are in town. As far as I know, this “hybrid” isn’t really being done anywhere in the U.S. and the Dakota Mountain Lodge & Golden Door Experience was designed specifically to cater to their various and sometimes overlapping audiences.
-Available in king or queen rooms to six-bedroom, multi-floor suites, rooms include gourmet Viking kitchens, living area, fireplaces and private patios. Guests will enjoy outdoor patios with fire pits; heated pools and whirlpools for use year-round. During the summer months, guests can enjoy mountain biking, hiking, fishing and various festivals, including the Park City Jazz Festival in August.
