Singapore — Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
DeWitt will participate in the MILK (Mainly I Love Kids) Charity Dinner on October 25th, 2010 at Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore. The watchmaker will present a special edition of the Blackstream Triple Complication GMT3, part of its Academia Collection, to be auctioned off during the event. Funds will go toward supporting disabled and disadvantaged children from low-income families and communities.
Inspired by the aviation world, the Blackstream Triple Complication GMT3 is the epitome of streamlined design. The lower hours counter is evocative of an airplane cockpit while two aerodynamic “radiator-grilles,” positioned at 3 and 9 o’clock, further emphasize the notion of speed and mechanics. The timepiece, glazed in a subtle black alloy, features a second time-zone indication customized in bright yellow to match the MILK logo, also reproduced in yellow on the back of the case, and is signed by Jerome de Witt, the company’s founder. The auction’s winning bidder will receive the DeWitt chronometer in a sleek black watchcase, also customized with the MILK logo.
