Le Castellet International Airport is equipped with 5 hangars able to welcome big jets such as Boeing Business Jets or Boeing 737. Already equipped with four hangars able to welcome and shelter Business Jets up to Global Express, Gulfstream IV, Gulfstream V and Boeing Business Jet (BBJ), Le Castellet International Airport is newly equipped with a fifth hangar absolutely unique in Europe.
The over 5,000 m² “H5” hangar can shelter two Boeing Business Jets. The airport parking capacity is also optimized thanks to 60.000m² parking area, to welcome all types of helicopters and aircrafts up to Boeing 737.
The proximity of the new H5 to the runway allows pilots to park planes rapidly after landing, and also to obtain very quickly takeoff authorizations when necessary, a real time saving for clients.
Beside the additional arrangements, such as the covered and nevertheless ventilated parking area for the fuel truck and the maintenance unit “M for cleaning services, the H5 hangar is also equipped with two Connecting Offices at the disposal of the hangar users.
Finally, in accordance with the environmental politic of Le Castellet, a photovoltaic power plant will be integrated into the flat roof of the H5 Hangar. This 150 kWc power plant will produce some annual 185,706 kW/h, the equivalence of the annual consumption of about 250 persons.
At only 15 minutes from Nice, Jet owners will have the possibility to park their plane safely and shielded from any salt pollution, a true advantage and a considerable asset in the South of France closed to the Mediterranean Sea.
