Celebrate the holiday season at the legendary La Mamounia, where a very special menu of holiday festivities has been created to both impress and thrill the guest. From December 23rd to January 3rd, La Mamounia will provide opportunities for guests of all ages to experience the magic of Christmas in its opulent surroundings. From children’s chocolate-tasting events in the historic gardens; gourmet fine dining experiences with themed Christmas Eve and New Years Eve menus; flavored champagnes infused with plants and herbs from La Mamounia’s very own chefs garden; and a very special VIP New Years Eve Dinner performance by the cast of ‘The Best of Broadway’, guests are sure to be wowed by this very special run of events.
Children and petits-gourmets can enjoy Christmas magic with their very own Christmas-themed chocolate tasting in the Menzeh, a tearoom located in the heart of the hotel’s expansive gardens. Should they be seeking more gourmet surprises, the ever changing supply of homemade ice-cream distributed daily at poolside by the La Mamounia Tricycle never fails to impress even the most die-hard of child traveler.
Evenings during the festive season will play host to the fabulous ‘Champagne au Parfum du Maroc’ whereby each of the exquisite bars at La Mamounia will serve a very special menu of flavored champagne carefully infused with plants and herbs from the gardens at La Mamounia. Choices will include: Infusion of Chamomile scented with Thyme; Infusion of Orange Peel scented with Rosemary, and Infusion of Hibiscus scented with Cinnamon.
Exclusive to the nights of December 24th and December 31st, a very special celebratory menu will be available at each of the hotel’s extraordinary restaurants: Le Francais by Jean-Pierre Vigato, L’Italian by Don Alfonso, and Le Marocain. Each of the three unique and refined locales will help guests to celebrate Christmas and New Years Eve in the unique spirit of the holidays, with plenty of special surprises planned for diners.
On December 31st, a unique VIP dinner performance by the cast of the musical “The Best of Broadway”, visiting Marrakesh from New York, London and Oslo, will perform a single show exclusively at La Mamounia. Featured artists including Kate Baldwin, Charlotte d’ Ambroise, and Brent Barrett will wow guests in the Grand Salon at La Mamounia raising energy levels to their peak just in time to ring in the year 2011.
A carefully selected gourmet menu served during the musical performance will offer a delicious culinary experience including:
• Duck Foie Gras served with Artichoke & Black Truffle Sauce, topped with sliced Hazelnuts
• Saint Jacques de la Baie de Somme served with White Truffle sauce and Brioche emulsion
• White Bass cooked in Broth served with Caviar, Oysters and chopped Greens, in a Vodka Butter sauce
• Filet of Beef and Veal Sweetbreads served with Black Truffles and a Cream sauce
• Pure Origin Chocolate and Vanilla Madagascar Praline emulsion served with Coriander Seed
