AVENTURA, Fla. – To complement its award-winning championship courses, The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club is proud to announce a partnership with the prestigious ESPN Golf Schools. This joint venture, presented by American Express, will provide resort guests and members with a number of world-class instructional programs, private instruction and personalized corporate events.
“The partnership between The Fairmont Turnberry Isle and ESPN Golf Schools will greatly enhance the golf instructional program offered to our members and resort guests,” said Bob Coman, director of golf. “As a result of this relationship, more people will be enticed to utilize our exceptional golf facilities, which recently received a $45 million makeover from Hall of Famer Raymond Floyd. I firmly believe it’ll only take one experience to hook our visitors.”
As part of the new commitment, the resort will feature the following programs for all skill levels and ages:
*Three-Day Resort School
This comprehensive, instructional program emphasizes all aspects of the game including full swing, video analysis with a tape of individual instruction, chipping, pitching, putting, bunker and course management. School includes unlimited range practice, greens and cart fees following each day’s instruction, plus daily breakfast and lunch, and a luxury amenity bag.
*Golf Schools for Women (three-day)
The curriculum for women is similar to the three-day resort school and also includes unique components, such as fashion, skin care, fitness and product knowledge. Same inclusions as three-day.
*3-Club Tour
A one-day program that focuses on the three most important clubs: driver, putter and wedge. Other features include access to demo drivers, a comprehensive pocket notebook, 6:1 student to teacher ratio, unlimited driving range practice, lunch and a $300 certificate good toward enrollment in other ESPN Golf Schools. Premium golf equipment is free with each enrollment.

*Beginners Tour
Students receive an introduction to the game and basic instruction including grip, posture, scoring, golf etiquette and other fundamentals in this one-day program. Premium starter set of golf clubs is free with each enrollment.
*Clinics
Daily, weekly and junior clinics allow players to improve their game.
*Private Lessons
Private lessons are offered year round by an on-site ESPN-trained professional at one-half hour, hourly, and as a playing lesson for nine holes.
