located in the Home of Golf, has been awarded International Resort Hotel of the Year in the 2009 Scottish Hotel of the Year Awards. The awards are in their sixth year and involve over 20,000 members of the public voting in 50 categories recognizing the very best in the Scottish hospitality industry.

Fairmont St Andrews has won a number of prestigious awards recently including: Resort Hotel of the Year at the 2008 Golf Tourism Scotland Awards; the hotel’s fine dining Esperante Restaurant won Silver Gourmet Status awarded by EastScotland; as well as two Green awards, ‘Fife’s Green Business of the Year’ at Kingdom FMs Local Hero Awards and the Best Non-Waste Management Section Initiative Award at the 2008 Scottish Waste and Resources Conference which recognized the hotel’s innovative Green Partnership Program.
Fairmont St Andrews is proud to be the final qualifying course for the 2010 Open and is hosting one of the most prestigious tournaments on the European Senior Tour, the Cleveland Golf/Srixon Scottish Senior Open, on the Torrance Course from August 21 to 23, 2009.
