Florence, Italy – Reported by Elite Traveler. the private jet lifestyle magazine
Designer Stefano Ricci, who is going to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of his Maison on June 18th with a fashion show-event at the Uffizi Gallery, has been awarded, by the President of the Italian Republic, the title of Knight of the Order of Merit for Labour.
The award for industrial merit was bestowed to a businessman who has always boasted artisanal production in the made-in-Italy tradition.
To celebrate the bond with the area and the city itself, Stefano Ricci has donated new lighting for the Loggia dei Lanzi, which will be first lit on June 18th.
The company, founded in 1972, was transformed over the years from a small artisanal production to an enterprise that has made high-quality and “100% Made in Italy” its distinctive features.
The Florentine fashion house places an extreme attention to detail into each of its creations. The collections are all created in-house through an exclusive proposal of fabrics and colors, representing a segment of excellence in the men’s fashion scene. The activity of the STEFANO RICCI company is focused on enhancing Florence, a cradle of culture and beauty. In its new headquarters in Fiesole inaugurated last year, tailors, master craftsmen and experienced hands work to make unique creations.
This “workshop” company releases high fashion garments, unique accessories and real jewels such as diamonds and platinum cufflinks.
Quality, elegance and love for his hometown and for art have led the 40th anniversary to be celebrated in the most prestigious museum of Italy: the Uffizi Gallery. On the occasion of the 82nd Pitti Immagine Uomo fair and thanks to the extraordinary collaboration with the Superintendence for the Historic,
Artistic and Ethno-anthropological Heritage of the city of Florence, as revealed by the Superintendent Cristina Acidini, on the evening of June 18th 2012 the Uffizi Gallery will host for the first time in its history, a fashion show: a tribute to excellence and Florentine culture.
On this occasion, the Loggia dei Lanzi will also be a protagonist: Stefano Ricci has developed and supported, together with the Superintendence for the Historic, Artistic and Ethno anthropological Heritage, a lighting project for the Loggia that will be presented during the evening. At the end of the fashion show, the evening will continue on the terrace of the Uffizi for a dinner by the Enoteca Pinchiorri dedicated to 200 international guests.
