In advance of the International Art Prize Arte Laguna’s March awards, Italian jeweler Fope Gioielli has confirmed its collaboration with both the event and artists around the globe.
Set in Venice, the 7th installment of the International Art Prize Arte Laguna, will boast monetary prizes, a collective exhibition in Venice Arsenal, a special exhibition at the Romanian Institute for Arts Culture and Research (as well as numerous other exhibitions spread throughout galleries across the city) and an official catalog.
Receiving a commendation by the President of the Italian Republic that acknowledged the event’s importance to the promotion and enhancement of Contemporary Art, Arte Laguna has also garner the support of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the region of Veneto, the city of Venice, Ca’ Foscari University in Venice and IED (Istituto Europeo di Design).
A fully modern brand, Fope Gioielli, in their collaboration with the Arte Laguna, have shown their support for Business for Art—a special prize dedicated to the section of virtual art—that they helped to established last year. Including artwork created entirely on computers, graphics, 3D animation, virtual installations, net art and even smartphone and tablet app creations, the prize awards the winner both financial compensation and the chance to participate in a collaborative Fope Gioielli art project.
In addition, thanks to a the Telecom Italia Future Center, based in Rialto (the historical heart of Venice), will host all the each work from the Virtual Art Section finalists.
