PREBROADWAY RUN Before Brooke Shields took the Broadway stage to portray Morticia in The Addams Family musical, the mother of two slipped away with her own family to experience the new St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort in Puerto Rico. The bright and cheery Iguana Kids Club, which is fully staffed and located in an airy pavilion on the resort grounds, makes the Caribbean resort a destination where both parents and children can enjoy the good life. “It was a superb vacation,” Shields said. “The kids had fun, but it was still luxurious for the adults.” Shields’ St. Regis Ocean Suite included butler service, an oversized private terrace overlooking the sparkling ocean, marble bathrooms, a living room and a dining area. She and her family enjoyed the culinary creations of Jean-Georges Vongerichten, whose restaurant Fern uses produce, herbs and spices from the resort’s own 2.4-acre plant nursery. “The food was so delicious,” she said. “We did not feel the need to leave the grounds. We cannot wait to return.” Since opening last November, the resort has quickly become a celeb draw: Jennifer Lopez, House actress Jennifer Morrison, fashion designer Jason Wu and renowned jewelry designer Alexis Bittar have also been spotted at the spectacular 483-acre resort, which features two miles of private beaches, a 10,000-square-foot Remède Spa and a magnificent golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr.

CABOLICIOUS The always-fashionable Jessica Alba didn’t let her second pregnancy put a damper on her beach style. As her due date neared, the expectant mother rocked a glamorous snakeskin print bikini with decorative trim by ViX from A Pea in the Pod Collection during a quick girlfriends’ getaway to Cabo San Lucas. Alba, who enjoyed a belated 30th birthday celebration, brought along her two-year-old daughter Honor for her stay at Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort. Famous for pampering its guests, the hotel sends a butler to greet those who arrive via an exclusive new terminal (built to accommodate the high demand for private jets), then whisks the glitterati to the discreet property for in-room check in. Alba, whose next film Spy Kids: All the Time in the World opens in August, probably wishes a butler accompanied her on the return flight. “Traveling w a carry on, purse aka large bag &toddler whilst preggs is not that fun… Must pack lighter,” she Tweeted on her day of departure.
