Riviera Maya, Mexico – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
From July 11 to 23, the AAA Five Diamond Grand Velas Riviera Maya resort will host a delectable culinary festival commemorating the French Revolution. The luxury retreat’s gourmet restaurant Piaf, an inspiring work of French classicism, welcomes New York City’s Madison Bistro chef and owner, Maître Cuisiner de France Claude Godard, on the occasion of this tribute to the venerable French culinary tradition.
Godard, who has worked alongside some of the best chefs in Paris, Burgundy and South Africa, will now work with Piaf’s executive chef Michele Mustiere to craft an unforgettable five-course tasting menu with wine pairings to celebrate the momentous Storming of Bastille.
This special prix fixe menu will include such delights as sautéed foie gras with artichoke mousseline and white truffle; hazelnut-butter roasted sea bass and a decadent chocolate dessert served with poached raspberries and caramel fudge. The tasting menu is available to all resort guests at no additional charge as part of the all-inclusive rate. For outside guests, dinner is $1,200 pesos (about $100) per person and $1,500 pesos (about $125) with wine pairings.
