Nicaragua’s Seaside Mariana Spa & Golf Resort sends 5 percent of home purchases from $77,000 or or preferred offerings from $57,000 toward achieving a 3 million dollar fundraising goal for its charitable Fundacion Grupo Mariana.
The 3 million dollars raised through the this porogram will be utilized to construct schools in Masachapa, Diriamba, Salinas Grandes and San Rafael del Sur, and to develop a training program for elders in the community—an essential part of the independence and sustainable growth for the future of Nicaragua.
Today, only a small percentage of eligible students actually attend school regularly because of family and the need to work. Existing school structures have withstood years of damage, have sporadic electricity, no indoor plumbing, and no school meal programs. These fundraising efforts will bring a much-needed foundation to the lives of local children and families in the area.
Fundación Grupo Mariana has been created expressly to organize and support socially responsible programs dedicated to fostering growth, self-reliance and sustainability in the New Nicaragua.
