This year, on the Rock of Monaco, Hublot is taking part in the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Admiral Tuiga, alongside the Yacht Club de Monaco, its long standing partner and friend. The festivities in honor of Tuiga are organized during the 9th Monaco Classic Week. The watchmaker, official timekeeper of the Yacht Club de Monaco, will also present a new limited series watch dedicated to the legendary sailing ship, in the presence of HRH Prince Albert II of Monaco. Hublot’s new model, in the colors of the prestigious Yacht Club, bears the name Tuiga and the engraved dates 1909 and 2009. This sailing ship, a “15 Metre class” was built by W. Fife in 1909 and restored in 1993 and is the emblem of the Yacht Club de Monaco.
With respect for tradition while being at the cutting edge of technology, Hublot created a pink gold, ceramic and carbon watch with a rubber strap. The Classic Fusion model, with its sporty chic design and personalized by the flags of the Yacht Club at 9 o’clock and the name Tuiga at 6 o’clock, is eagerly anticipated by yachting and fine watch lovers. Hublot is also taking part in all the events of the Classic Week and rewarding those achieving distinction in various categories, such as the Personality of the Sea (for outstanding action in the field of marine and environmental protection), the Belle Classe Owner (for best yacht restoration respecting maritime heritage) and the various winners of the Classic Week competitions.
