The award-winning SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills announces the beginning of the installation of its comprehensive new lighting program developed by visionary photographer, filmmaker and Creative Director Matthew Rolston. The new lighting will be featured in all 297 guest rooms and suites and takes into consideration invaluable input from hotel guests.
With decades of experience shooting many of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Rolston’s approach to the updated lighting was to provide guests with a sense of contemporary glamour, while also complementing Philippe Starck’s provocative design.
“SLS is a property that exudes an air of sexiness and intrigue that few other hotels possess,” said Rolston. “With that in mind, we collaborated with SLS to reinvent the lighting in a manner that best showcases its undeniably powerful design elements as well as the guests themselves. It’s like being able to live in the signature beauty light of one of my celebrity images.”
The new lighting program has also taken into account invaluable feedback directly from SLS’s many loyal guests over the years. Creating an open dialogue with guests is the strategy SLS has employed since it opened in 2008, understanding that feedback from clientele can often lead to powerful innovations throughout the property.
