Esperanza, An Auberge Resort Guests can learn the secrets of the award-winning cuisine of Esperanza, An Auberge Resort, by participating in one of three cooking classes with the resort’s chefs. All guests are welcome to participate in the resort’s complimentary vegetarian cooking classes, held every Wednesday. Esperanza also hosts Cocina del Mar cooking classes, which feature fresh ingredients from the Sea of Cortes and are taught by the executive chef himself.

Daring cooks can prepare an original dish for Executive Chef Fabrice Guisset, who then judges the culinary creation. Winning guests are honored by having their dish added to the resort menu for a week. For those with romance in mind, Las Ventanas offers male guests a Men in White culinary class, where they will learn to prepare an exquisite gourmet affair for two. Guided by chef Guisset, the guest will prepare a delicious meal for his date in the resort’s outdoor kitchen and herb garden, dressed in chef’s whites. His date will be escorted to the garden by a butler and presented with champagne and a menu as he completes the dinner, after which the two dine under a palapa with candlelight and soft music playing.
Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Guests can take a variety of classes in the making and tasting of their own food and drink. Lessons will take place at the Tequila Academy, where participants can learn about the wonders of tequila, its history and how it is produced from sommelier Fabian Martinez. Guests interested in how to recreate the colorful cuisine they enjoyed during their stay can enjoy the fresh seafood of Los Cabos with a Japanese flair as they take part in chef Kata’s sushi-making and sake-tasting lessons.
