Whale Quest Kapalua, February 13-15, 2009
Guests will have the opportunity to learn more about Hawai‘i’s largest and most loyal visitor during Kapalua Resort’s fourth annual Whale Quest Kapalua at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua. This event celebrates the Pacific Humpback whale during a three-day educational symposium, which includes a youth program, an exciting variety of seminars including incredible cinematography and photography by awardwinning filmmakers, producers, and leading marine experts, educational and art exhibitions, whalewatching excursions as well as a charity golf tournament.
The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua Celebration of the Arts Festival, April 10-12, 2009
Hawai‘i’s rich culture and history takes center stage at this year’s 17th annual Celebration of the Arts Festival. The special weekend offers guests the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, including demonstrations of authentic Hawaiian hula and chant plus hands-on workshops in Native Hawaiian art and one-on-one interaction with local Village Gallery artists.

Golf enthusiasts will once again converge at Kapalua Resort for the second annual Kapalua LPGA Classic. This official LPGA full-field event will showcase the top female players from around the world as they compete for the $1.5 million on the award winning Bay Course.

Expanded in 2009, the Kapalua Trail System is a unique, planned 100-mile system of trails that allows guests to immerse themselves within Hawai‘i’s natural environment. Walkers and hikers can take in breathtaking views of the Pacific ocean and lush mountain landscapes, such as the challenging 5.75-mile Mahana Trail.
Kapalua Spa Opens this Summer
Relax and rejuvenate at the brand new Kapalua Spa, slated to open its doors this summer. Once,complete the indoor-outdoor facility will be the largest of its kind in Hawai‘i and pays tribute to the healing properties of water and brings the natural beauty of Kapalua into its 19 treatment rooms, including 10 outdoor hale. Stone soaking tubs and dual treatment space for couples are nestled among tropical gardens.
The Kapalua Gold Villas Scheduled for Completion by 2010
Kapalua Resort’s most luxurious accommodations, The Kapalua Gold Villas, are well-known for providing guests richly appointed rooms with luxurious island flair. One hundred and eight Kapalua Gold Villas are currently available and renovations are in the works to transform the remaining Kapalua Villas to Gold Villas by 2010.
