Beginning on November 6 through November 14, 2009, Rosa Lladró, President of Lladró and daughter of Juan Lladró, the eldest of the three founding Lladró brothers, will visit the USA and Canada to unveil a new Lladró piece and sign purchases of Lladró admirers in nine locations: Toronto, Chicago, Detroit, New York, Dallas, Las Vegas, Costa Mesa and Beverly Hills.
At the events, Rosa will present Enigmatic Beauty, a new sculpture inspired on the magical charm of one of the most traditional and exotic cultures of the world, Japan. The new piece pays tribute to the sophisticated grace of Japanese women, the richness and delicacy of their magnificent kimonos and the spiritual depiction of nature in their colorful ornamentation.
This innovative sculpture combines matte and glazed finishes with golden luster in both shiny and matte, together with an extraordinary intense red hue. The accurate painting of flowers on the silk kimono as well as the geometry of the golden obi sash shows the mastery of the Lladró artists.
