El Taj Oceanfront is his newest gem and an addition to already existing four luxury condominiums by the developer Jack Perlman, all located steps from the beach. The new condo, located right on the sugary sand beach, is scheduled for the grand opening this week.
The developer Jack Perlman, a native New Yorker who accidentally got stranded in Playa over 15 years ago and never left, stresses that “in size comparison to Miami Beach or San Juan, Playa del Carmen is a tiny jewel, as all luxury condos in all of Playa can fit into two high rise buildings,” meaning that the town will always have the charm of a small fishing village, and new developments will only add glamour and stability, but will not take away the magic of the place.
On the contrary, the new El Taj Oceanfront has been designed by Sergio Segura to organically blend into the breathtaking Mexican Caribbean landscape. The condo will feature a smooth Bali-inspired design that seduces imagination by combining soft curves, natural materials and luscious tropical landscaping with soothing water features. The architect’s vision was to create a modern luxury dwelling nestled in the comfort and tranquility of a tropical setting, and to organically blend in exotics and comfort, nature and modern design, tranquility and plentiful amenities.
As for the amenities, the development will only be a block away from a world-class gym, inspired and built by Vito Errico, the original founder of the famous Equinox sports clubs in the US. There are going to be two upscale restaurants, a scuba shop, New York-style gourmet deli and soon-to-open spa.
When it comes to the interior design elements, El Taj Oceanfront will feature marble counter tops in kitchens and bathrooms, private terraces, the newest appliances, private elevators serving only two units, hurricane resistant window glass, Jacuzzis, private rooftop showers, as well as artwork imported from Bali, among many other things.
