Sanya’s tropical beauty and premier location on Hainan Island have contributed to the area’s success as one of the most popular vacation destinations in China, and the luxury resort-studded locale has started to attract elite travelers the world over. In 2015, the hot spot will inaugurate the Swissôtel Sanya, the newest resort from the top hotel group. The new luxe property is part of a large-scale mixed-use development and will be part of the Sanya Dragon Valley Hot Spring and Golf Resort, which contains one of the most exclusive 18-hole golf courses in the region.
The Swissôtel Sanya will be just over six miles from Phoenix International Airport and will offer numerous luxury amenities for guests to enjoy during their stay. The new resort will comprise 300 spacious rooms and suites along with four restaurants and bars for guests to dine on-site.
There will also be over 6,500 feet of meeting and banquet space, making the Swissôtel Sanya the perfect place to host any type of function. Guests will also be able to relax at the largest outdoor pool in Sanya and at the Püroevl Spa and sport facilities. The Dragon Valley resort destination will also contain the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, over 1,000 luxury villas, restaurants and lavish boutiques and retail shops.
Meinhard Huck, president of Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, states, “As we are already successfully managing four elegant business hotels in the People’s Republic of China, with an additional Swissôtel being built in Chengdu, a leisure resort in the booming tourist area of Sanya is an optimal additional to our brand.” Huck adds, “We are looking forward to our partnership with Hainan Zhongdu Real Estate Development Company, who share our Swiss values of reliability and high quality.”
Xu Zexian, the chairman of Hainan Zhongdu Real Estate Development Company commented, “Hainan Zhongdu has successful experiences in operating world-renowned large-scale real estate and tourism related projects.
