Austin, Texas, December 30, 2009 – Reported by Elite Traveler, the Private Jet Lifestyle Magazine
Bill Pollock, Chairman and Founder of NIP, Inc. announced today that it will sponsor the 2010 Cabo Celebrity Golf Classic on April 22-25, 2010 at the internationally acclaimed One & Only Palmilla Resort and Golf Club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The fundraiser will benefit the Casa Hogar Orphanage in Los Cabos, which opened in February, 2008 and is currently home to 20 boys, ages 6-14. The golf invitational will pair celebrities [professional athletes, actors and artists] with amateurs for two rounds of competitive golf with a tournament playoff featuring the top five teams competing for The Cabo Cup.
In addition to the golf tournament, the long weekend includes two nights of great live music, a live auction and a chance to meet and greet the kids at Casa Hogar. Los Angeles based The Zaring Group, one of this country’s top event consulting firms, will, again, produce the event.
Actor Brett Cullen, who was on the winning team at the 2009 Cabo Cup tournament, comments on the event, “Last year my wife and I were invited to Mexico to play in a charity golf tournament in Cabo San Lucas by our friends John and Bianca Zaring. We witnessed something that truly made a difference in the lives of 20 children living there at the Casa Hogar Orphanage. Cabo San Lucas has been blessed with the Cabo Celebrity Golf Classic to help raise funds for the Casa Hogar Orphanage where these 20 little boys reside. Having attended this fun, heart-warming event last year, we cannot wait to go back and be involved again this year. There is no doubt in our mind that this event has changed conditions for these boys. By supporting this cause, the CCGC is helping to reverse this tragic situation that no child should ever experience. We were moved by it and we can’t wait to go back again this year. We wouldn’t miss it!”
NIP is actively seeking companies and individuals to financially support the event through various levels of sponsorships. “We have kept the sponsorship packages to a minimum so that the companies who participate will gain maximum exposure,” said Pollock. “We’ve put together an event that our golfers and sponsors alike will enjoy, while supporting a worthy cause.” Additional underwriting opportunities are also available. The event is a not-for-profit effort so all proceeds raised benefit the orphanage.
Some early sponsors include Casa Dorada Hotel & Resort, Troon Golf, One & Only Palmilla Golf Club, Baja Cantina, National Rental Car, Terramar Transportation and Cabo Social.
