The glamorous Hotel Splendido & Splendido Mare in Portofino, on the Northwest coast of Italy, invites guests to sample authentic dishes from the Ligurian tradition through its Pizza & Focaccia Cooking Classes. The hotel is also now offering guided tours around the historic center of Genoa with its tiny medieval streets, elegant palaces, the Sea Museum and the original Jeans Museum, as denim was invented in Genoa.

Italy’s majestic Villa San Michele soars on the gentle hills of Fiesole, overlooking the city of Florence. This 15th century monastery, embellished with antique frescoes, is renowned worldwide for its refined cuisine and exclusive Villa San Michele School of Cookery, lead by Executive Chef Attilio di Fabrizio. Hotel guests can enjoy a mini-cruise aboard the Caruso’s Ercole, a wooden coastal craft at the disposal of guests every day on a regular basis. They will cruise along the blue sea and discover the coast of Amalfi, Positano and the most magical, hidden grottoes, as well as the only fiord in the Mediterranean.
