Park Hyatt Vienna opened its doors to guests on June 2 following the complete renovation and restoration of a former bank building.

Park Hyatt Vienna maintains its original structure of the Austrian Hungarian Monarchy Bank, which forms part of Vienna’s First District, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hotel began welcoming guests on June 2 and is located in the city’s new pedestrian Goldenes Quartier and on the Am Hof Square – within walking distance to Vienna’s most notable sights, including St. Stephan Cathedral and the HofburgPalace.

Dutch interior design company FG Stijl redesigned the bank building to reflect the dual nature of Vienna’s historic environment, focusing on the distinct colors and textures that define the Austrian city. The interior of Park Hyatt Vienna, including its 143 guestrooms and 35 suites, are decorated with Vienna-inspired contemporary art and Italian marble to embody the sophisticated, residential feel of the Park Hyatt signature style.

The Bank Restaurant

Park Hyatt Vienna also offers innovative dining experiences with exquisite European provincial cuisine at its all-day dining restaurant, The Bank, signature cocktails and premium drinks at Pearl Bar, and delicious pastries paired with wines and champagnes in the comfortable atmosphere of The Lounge. The hotel also provides guests with a relaxing cigar and whisky lounge, presenting a large selection of rare single malt whiskies and fine cigars in The Living Room.

As a unique luxury hotel in one of Europe’s top business and cultural destinations, Park Hyatt Vienna offers various event facilities in addition to its restaurant, bar, and lounge. The exclusive conference and meeting rooms are designed to reflect the Park Hyatt elegance, and 8,000 square feet of additional space provide luxurious accommodation for events ranging from small cocktail receptions to large weddings and galas.

The Arany Spa

For guests seeking superior beauty and health treatments, the Arany Spa provides a relaxing escape. Located in the treasure room of the bank building, the luxurious spa features six spacious treatment rooms – including a couple’s treatment room with private changing facilities and a shower. The Arany Spa also offers a pool situated in the former vault of the bank, fitness facilities featuring the advanced technology line Artis from Technogym, and a separate wet area with sauna, steam bath, sanarium, vitality shower, and relaxation area – all which are also accessible for non-hotel guests.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to bring the Park Hyatt brand to a city like Vienna, which is rich in culture, art, history, and sophistication,” said Monique Dekker, general manager of Park Hyatt Vienna. “The Park Hyatt brand focuses on creating rare, intimate and unforgettable experiences, so we are eager to open our doors and welcome guests to discover a new business and leisure destination in the heart of historical Vienna.”

Reservations for Park Hyatt Vienna may be made by visiting the hotel’s website or by calling a HyattWorldwideSalesCenter.
