Phuket, Thailand – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
Luxe Thai resort Trisara has announced the opening of an exciting new oceanfront seafood restaurant. Trisara Seafood, a sophisticated dining destination for resort guests, those of other hotels and Phuket residents, captures the atmosphere of the French Riviera (or Sydney Harbour!) in a gorgeous Thai setting.
The restaurant is designed with a private entrance, leading guests either to an outdoor, beachfront terrace under the palms or to the cool, relaxed interiors of the restaurant. The classic, elegant design with its unpretentious, cool simplicity is reflective of the best Mediterranean seafood restaurants. Fresh blue and white tones and louvered shutters emote relaxed, sophisticated oceanfront dining. Guests have the option of arriving by their own boat, using Trisara’s high-season jetty, adding to the sense of occasion.
“We wanted to bring a truly international seafood experience to Phuket Island for the first time, inspired by the best seafood restaurants found on Capri, Sydney Harbour or in Saint Tropez,” commented Anthony Lark, executive director and general manager of Trisara. “The focus of Trisara Seafood is simple, beautifully prepared fresh product from around the globe. Our chef handpicks the freshest seafood from Phuket’s markets, along with the very best flown in from the Mediterranean.”
The menu incorporates sustainable, fresh seafood and produce from both Thailand and the Mediterranean, prepared by Executive Chef Kla, recently returned from Spain where he perfected techniques employed by three-Michelin-star restaurants El Cellar de Can Roca and Martin Berasatagui. A feature dish will be a seafood platter for one or two, presented in a French Brasserie style on crushed ice. The dining experience will be heightened by Trisara’s Wine Spectator award-winning cellar, with its superb range of select wines.
Trisara was recently recognized with the 2012 Award of Excellence in Wine Spectator’s Restaurant Wine List Awards, further cementing its position as a premier culinary destination in Asia. Trisara offers over 330 wine labels and a cellar boasting in excess of 2,000 bottles.
