Elite Traveler has exclusively learned Citation Shares will change its name to CitationAir by Cessna and re-organize its sales force to coordinate efforts with majority owner Cessna providing customers one-stop shopping from whole aircraft management to fractional shares and jet card solutions.
The company believes the new name and sales approach will enable CitationAir to provide a solutions based approach for customers.
Officials from NetJets and MarquisJet had no comment. NetJets is the category leader in selling fractional ownership, while sister company Executive Jet Management also owned by Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway offers jet management for owners of private jets. MarquisJet, a separate company is the category leader in sales of jet cards selling time exclusively on the NetJets fleet.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Bombardier Flexjet said the company already provides one-stop shopping with a single salesperson who can provide customers everything from private jet management to fractional, jet card and charter solutions.
