Bali, Indonesia – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
Regent Bali, a $100 million luxury resort and residences, is scheduled to welcome its first guests to the idyllic Sanur district of Bali in June 2012. Located on four acres of lush tropical gardens, the 95-key resort perches on a stretch of pristine, powdery sand, sure to beckon sun-seekers in search of an intimate, decadent getaway.
Whether you opt for a spacious Studio Suite, Deluxe Suite, Spa Suite or Regent Suite, you’ll enjoy 180-degree ocean views and expert butler service. 25 luxurious Regent Residences round out the resort’s accommodation offerings. Guests will enjoy two indoor/outdoor dining venues serving local delicacies with a mix of Asian and International flair. A large infinity pool spills into the ocean, and the spa features rooftop reflecting pools. A kid’s club and children’s pool makes the Regent a perfect choice for families, as do an array of water sports and roster of activities to immerse visitors in Bali’s culture.
Regent Hotels & Resorts recently appointed Murray L. Aitken as the new property’s general manager. The South African hospitality veteran brings with him experience from Raffles and Swissotel in Southeast Asia, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts in Jakarta and the Caribbean, a luxurious beach resort in Dubai, Kerzner’s legendary Palace of the Lost City in Sun City, and Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa. During his time with Raffles in Singapore, the hotel was awarded Business Hotel of the Year Asia by TIME Magazine.
Most recently, Aitken was general manager at Leading Hotels of the World’s Fancourt Hotel & Spa on South Africa’s Garden Route. There, he oversaw a $10 million renovation of the historic Manor House and launched it as an all-suite boutique hotel.
