Relax the Holiday Pounds Away at Royal Mansour’s Inaugural “Wellness Week”

Marrakech, Morocco—Reported by Coleman Bentley for Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine

Whatever your Thanksgiving tradition, turkey or tofu, Plymouth Rock or Cabo, one thing is sure to remain the same: indulgence. With Marrakech’s Royal Mansour offering all guests (from December 10-16) complimentary access to their inaugural “Wellness Week”, however, the Moroccan paradise is sure to help to burn pounds as well as guilt.

Expert led discussions on reflexology, stretching, posture and sophology (a series of physical and mental exercises to achieve a calm and alert mind) combine with a collection of yoga classes, relaxation therapies and breathing technique to leave guests feeling like slightly trimmer versions their old selves in no time. Experts include David Tran, reflexologist and president of the Institute of Reflexology in Paris, and Dr. Shiksha Gujadhur, founder of Ackbar Yoga Movement, which teaches stress management through yoga.

All guests participating in “Wellness Week” will have access to Royal Mansour’s 27,000-square-foot spa. A true masterpiece constructed by over 1,500 Moroccan artisans, the spa promotes serenity with an intricate filigreed white latticework theme that can be seen throughout the space. Surrounded by a moat, the spa offers 13 treatment rooms, each tailored for its own specific treatment, such as the Ceremonial Massage, which uses Argan—a native Moroccan oil— to protect skin from aging through the promotion of blood flow and by strengthening muscle tissue.

So before you don that oversized sweater for every holiday photo and pass on the pie, lose the holiday heavy at Royal Mansour’s brand new “Wellness Week”.
