Remy Martin Offers Insider Cognac Program

Indulge yourself in the French country with an idyllic tour of the region and beautiful grounds of the House of Rémy Martin to experience the craftsmanship and history that has made Louis XIII, the jewel of Rémy Martin’s cellar, the most celebrated cognac in the world. The House of Rémy Martin originally founded in 1724, has long been heralded as cultural landmark and a destination for cognac enthusiasts. The exciting new gastronomic tour offers guests a truly customizable experience focusing on Louis XIII and the birthplace of cognac.

* Choose a tailor made program- to experience a half day, full day, evening or weekend visit where every detail of the journey is organized by Rémy Martin. Guests are invited to appreciate the cognacs, chosen by the only female Cellar Master, Pierrette Trichet and offered the chance to learn how to blend Cognac to their preference. Guests can also opt to experience the family estate, Le Grollet and take a tour of the wine pressing hall and view the historic stone stills.

* In visiting The House of Rémy Martin, guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy the culinary talents of Rémy Martin’s newly appointed Executive Chef, Philippe Saint Romas, who presents the very best cuisine Cognac has to offer. Prior to joining the House Rémy Martin, Saint Romas worked in world renown kitchens including Paris’s Michelin-starred Senderens Les Ambassadeurs (the restaurant of theHôtel Crillon) and Michelin-starred Le Bristol and L’Ambroisie. Chef Saint Romas also worked with acclaimed Chef Alain Ducasse and deployed his talent for the very exclusive clientele at the Palais de l’Elysée, the private residence of the American Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) of Unesco in Paris.

Louis XIII cognac was created in 1874 by the House of Rémy Martin founded in 1724. It is an intricate alchemy blended from 1,200 eaux-de-vie, created from the chalky soils of Grande Champagne, the best growing area of the Cognac region, France. This cognac ages up to 100 years in specially crafted barrels called tierçons. Four generations of cellar masters created the unique blend of myrrh, honey, plum, honeysuckle, wood bark, leather and passion fruits, making it the most complex and most prestigious cognac in the world
