The HD3 Slyde won the coveted Innovation Award at last week’s 2012 Couture Design Awards, beating stiff competition from the world’s top luxury watch brands and independent watch makers.
Held in the five-star Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, the annual event is one of the most prestigious award ceremonies in the watch and jewelry industry and draws big names in luxury accessories. The competition was this year juried by an panel of couture designers, retailers and jewelry and fashion editors including Watch Journal International Editor Keith W.Strandberg, celebrity chef and watch collector Nick Stellino, and veteran watch journalist Roberta Naas.
Since its beginnings, HD3 have had a reputation for pushing the boundaries of modern watch making. They combine the traditional standards of top-grade Swiss watch making with technological flair to produce highly unique watches. With an aim to bringing fine watch making to the modern day, their previous timepieces have shown design daring that puts them firmly in the couture arena.
The HD3 Slyde’s design makes creative use of the latest technologies in watch making. The touch screen display is set to have a significant impact on the future of horology, allowing the user to generate an infinite variety of timepieces on his or her wrist.
