Luxury retreat Rosewood Papagayo is expected to open in Costa Rica in 2019. The hotel will be situated on the northwest coast within the province of Guanacaste, renowned for its tropical forests and picturesque sandy beaches.
The resort, which will be located a short drive from Liberia International Airport, will be nestled into the hillside which gently cascades down to a golden sand beach, providing guests with stunning views over the Gulf of Papagayo.
The resort will boast 180 accommodations including 130 guestrooms and suites in addition to 50 residences. The residences feature open air living rooms, large terraces and plunge pools, making the most of the natural surroundings. The suites will include seven two-storey tree houses with striking contemporary designs.
Rosewood Papagayo will be designed and built by Dallas-based architects HKS and will use indigenous material and locally inspired artwork throughout the property. The resort will have direct beach access and two swimming pools as well as a fitness center.
