Snake River Sporting Club Hosts Third Annual July Jamboree

By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

Jackson Hole, W.Y. – Snake River Sporting Club, the private residential, authentic western sporting community in Jackson Hole, Wyo., is preparing for its third annual July Jamboree. Scheduled for July 7th – 13th, the event of the Jackson Hole summer season will be filled with a week full of family-friendly, adventure-filled activities offering Snake River members and interested sporting enthusiasts a taste of the sporting club’s world-class outdoor pursuits and amenities, legendary cowboy cuisine and epic summer scenery.

Outdoor Pursuits Director, Will Hobbs, will kick-off the July Jamboree with an overnight river trip down the South Fork of the Snake River. Snake River invites you to take part in this adventurous float trip which culminates at the South Fork Canyon with a delicious western meal, served al fresco. This perfect Jackson Hole day includes premiere fly-fishing on the South Fork of the Snake River, beautiful views of the surrounding three million acre Caribou-Targhee National Forest, stunning Teton Valleys and Snake River Canyon, and superb cuisine prepared riverside as the Jackson Hole sun sets on the historic Snake River.

The July Jamboree’s weeklong itinerary of events includes scenic evening cocktail floats, trail rides through natural Elk migratory paths, whitewater rafting on The Snake River, kayaking and guided nature hikes along the two mile stretch of Snake River hiking trails. Partake in family golf-tournaments, golf clinics focused on all aspects of the golf game (putting, bunker shots, woods, iron and wedge play) all taught by the sporting club’s PGA professional trained golf staff, as well as world-class fly-fishing along the 6 miles of Snake River frontage.

“Summer in Jackson builds a town-wide excitement because it is so precious”, says Neal Vohr, General Manager, Snake River Sporting Club. “We create moments here at the club where we can bring as many members, guests and friends together as possible to build community. The Jamboree was created as the must – attend event of the season and is essentially a weeklong taste of Wyoming. We hope that you will all come out and join us as Jackson is truly a spectacular place, and the Jamboree offers the perfect opportunity to see all that Snake River Sporting Club has to offer.”

Children can join in the July Jamboree fun as well, as kid-friendly and family fun activities are available throughout the entirety of the week. Kids can learn what it takes to be a Snake River Sporting Club pioneer at the Junior Jamboree (ages 8-12) or Teton Tykes (ages 4-7), play in parent/child mini-golf tournaments, become an expert fly-fisherman during family fishing clinics and chow down on finger-lickin’ good BBQ. Families can enjoy a taste of the “Life, Well Played” while local Jackson Hole bands serve as entertainment throughout the Jamboree.

While enjoying the festivities of the July Jamboree, guests will have the chance to view firsthand the current Phase II development happenings at Snake River Sporting Club. Phase II incorporates a total land area of 195 acres accessed across the Snake River by the historic Astoria metal bridge. The development plan has been and will remain the ‘front door’ of the sporting club, offering additional recreational and amenity opportunities and a variety of new and updated residential offerings including canyon, river and ranch home lots. Amenity plans include an environmental learning center with exhibits showcasing the unique flora and fauna native to the Jackson Hole region, as well as an educational venue set along the Snake River and southern terminus of a natural three-tiered trout pond offering a world-class fishing experience and practice facility.

In addition to the residential lots and homesites offered at Snake River Sporting Club, the private-equity club is offering sporting club memberships that provide access to the club and amenities without lot ownership. The perfect choice for a taste of the Jackson Hole seasons. We are looking forward to this year’s July Jamboree and invite all to come out and enjoy the summer season, and partake in the splendor of Jackson and the best that Snake River Sporting Club has to offer!
