In the spirit of spring renewal, guests can learn to heal themselves and others with Japanese Reiki training. Literally meaning “spiritually guided life force energy,” Reiki treats the whole person. Techniques focus on the body, mind, emotions and spirits creating feelings of peace and well-being. Emerson Resort & Spa will offer guests the chance to experience these teachings with its Reiki Training Package.
Two levels of Reiki training will be available, based on ability. The introductory class, Shoden, will teach students principles, history, and self-healing through guided imagery and four initiations. The secondary level class, Okuden, helps students channel their Reiki potential. Participants learn distant and absent healing, Byosen (healing the aura), Kokiho (moving energy with breath), as well as mental and emotional healing.
The Reiki Training will be available beginning January 1, 2009 with the Shoden class being offered the first Sunday of the month and the Okuden class offered the third Sunday of the month. Single occupancy rates start at $476 and double occupancy rates staring at $770. The package includes:
