London, England – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
The luxurious Langham hotel in London has announced a sumptuous new collaboration with jeweler to the stars Stephen Webster. Appealing to a fashionista’s sense of good taste—literally—the British designer has teamed with The Langham’s executive pastry chef Cherish Finden to create the Stephen Webster Bijoux Afternoon Tea.
Launching this fall, the limited edition tea was inspired by Webster’s most recent “Murder She Wrote” collection, which combines diamonds and colorful gemstones to create standout statement pieces. Playing off this dramatic theme, Finden has artfully crafted cakes and confections inspired by the murder mystery genre. In lieu of diamonds, guests can sample shimmering creations like the Crystal Clear Diamond—a Guinness-inflected macaroon with blackcurrant jelly—and the Poison Apple, a decadent shortbread featuring red peppercorn and dark chocolate.
The perfect fusion of fashion and food, the Stephen Webster Bijoux Afternoon Tea is priced at about $79 per person and will be held in the Langham’s sophisticated Palm Court from September 1 through March 31st, 2012.
