Vail, CO – Tomorrow marks the official opening of The Arrabelle at Vail Square, A RockResort. Located in Vail, CO, The Arrabelle, which is already being hailed as the crown jewel of the RockResorts collection, offers guests a magnificent hotel experience that combines Old World charm and the timeless elegance of Europe’s grand resorts with the romance and world-class style of the region’s alpine heritage.
Centrally located in Vail Square, just steps away from the Eagle Bahn Gondola and the slopes, The Arrabelle features 36 luxury hotel rooms and 66 condominiums that are based on the Biedermeier design style, an early 19th century German and Austrian art movement that evokes simplicity, elegance and functionality. Additionally, the resort boasts a traditional Germanic Glockenspiel that features a celebration of snow. “Stimulated by numerous regions of Europe, The Arrabelle at Vail Square utilizes these inspirations to create a unique lodging experience specific to Vail and its environs,” said Stan Brown, executive vice president and chief operating officer of RockResorts. “In addition to world class skiing and snowboarding, off the slopes, Arrabelle guests will experience the highest level of amenities and services.”
Furnishings and fixtures in the rooms were chosen to be consistent with RockResorts’ reputation for luxury in design and amenities. The hotel rooms showcase an elegant built-in wood closet offering generous storage space and a floor-to-ceiling drapery canopy over the bed, a fireplace, lounge chairs and flat-screen televisions. The spacious bathroom suites feature a double door entry, a cast iron deep soaking tub and separate shower, heated marble flooring, a double sink marble vanity and a flat-screen television.
Additionally, The Arrabelle has 66 residences and penthouses with distinctive floor plans, stunning views and plush finishes. Owners of an Arrabelle residence or penthouse, along with resort guests, are able to use the hotel’s many amenities such as valet parking, concierge services, butler services, ski/boot storage, the RockResorts Spa, fitness center and the business library.
Dining at The Arrabelle provides a memorable experience at the resort’s mountainside restaurant, Centre V, a bustling, French-inspired brasserie with exposed brick walls, a shellfish shucking station, groin-vaulted ceilings and curved, wooden banquettes. Internationally-trained chef Thomas Salamunovich created and spearheaded the menu with dishes such as steak frites, trout almondine, fruits de mer platters, soufflés and crêpes. Salamunovich is renowned as the owner and head chef of Vail’s award-winning Larkspur restaurant, which has received awards from the Distinguished Restaurants of North America and Wine Spectator. Chef Tyler Anderson, who joins The Arrabelle from The Equinox Resort & Spa in Vermont, is the executive chef who will oversee the restaurant on a daily basis, in addition to the 24-hour in-room dining services at the hotel and the culinary options at the conference center.
Guests can enjoy pre-ski and après ski offerings in The Arrabelle’s expansive Great Room, which offers a relaxing indoor space with a grand fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows looking out to the breathtaking mountain views. The Great Room leads to an open-air, elevated veranda with a “front row” view of Vail Mountain.
Meeting facilities at The Arrabelle feature an elegant conference and banquet facility with an approximate 2,622-square-foot Grand Ballroom that can be split evenly into two rooms, four additional meeting rooms ranging from approximately that range up to 1,200 square feet, and pre-function space.
Debuting in mid-February will be the 10,000-square-foot RockResorts Spa™ at The Arrabelle, where guests will be surrounded by a warm and inviting atmosphere. A dramatic water feature will welcome visitors at the entryway, while rose-colored marble floors and counters accented by yellow limestone will coincide to evoke a soothing ambiance. Marble and glass tile mosaics will invite one to indulge their senses in the rejuvenating spa treatments offered. The spa consists of
11 treatment rooms, including a couples suite, facial rooms, a water therapy room with Vichy and Swiss showers; a fitness center with top-of-the-line TechnoGym cardio equipment, personalized fitness trainer consultation services; a full-service nail salon; men’s and women’s locker rooms, each with whirlpool, steam room and dry sauna; private men’s and women’s relaxation lounges; and a retail outlet.
Perennially, the #1 ski resort in North America, Vail’s accommodations and village experiences are as vast as its Back Bowls. Vail Square provides a slopeside, European-inspired village atmosphere complete with a variety of dining options, a town ice-skating rink, unparalleled skier services and high-end retail outlets. “The Arrabelle’s thoughtful architecture and design inspired many surrounding properties to assume its European atmosphere, which will be unique from other parts of the Vail experience. The Arrabelle and Vail Square reinforce Vail’s position as the leading mountain resort in North America, offering guests an exceptional vacation experience in a spectacular natural setting,” said Brown.
The Arrabelle at Vail Square is located in Vail, Colorado, 100 miles west of Denver on Interstate 70 and 35 minutes east of the Vail/Eagle County Regional Airport. For more information, please visit www.rockresorts.com or 866-662-ROCK.
