The Ritz-Carlton continues to expand their global empire with the recent opening of their first hotel in Austria. The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna, located on the central Schubertring Boulevard, marks the company’s ninth hotel in Europe and 80th hotel worldwide. The luxury property combines Austria’s traditional architecture with a stylish interior design, reflecting the city’s Imperial tradition and contemporary creativity.

The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna is situated in an elegant building, composed of four historic palaces dating back to the 19th century in the heart of the city. Inside, guests will note many original design features that have been painstakingly preserved and integrated into the updated interior. The marble staircase, decorate mural paintings, and intricate wood carvings and paneling immediately catch guests’ eyes, reminding them of Vienna’s rich history. Modern features and amenities are also incorporated into the hotel’s design. Guests can observe all of Vienna’s beauty and landmarks from the guestrooms and rooftop bar, as many attractions are within walking distance from the property.

“We are delighted to open our 80th hotel in this key European capitol and to offer discerning global travelers a truly unique property here in Vienna,” said Herve Humler President and Chief Operating Office of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. “The hotel will bring The Ritz-Carlton service philosophy to the city and combine it with Viennese hospitality to create memorable experiences for guests whether travelling on leisure or for business.”

The five-star property consists of 202 rooms with 43 suites and a spacious Presidential suite on the second floor. Guests can experience authentic Austrian cuisine at the hotel’s Dstrikt restaurant located on the ground floor or opt for Viennese coffee and cake in the afternoon at Melounge, which is adjacent to the lobby. The hotel also has numerous recreational amenities for guests to enjoy, including an indoor swimming pool, fitness room, sauna and steam rooms. The boutique Guerlain Spa is perfect for guests looking for some R&R on their Austrian trip with six treatment rooms including two rooms specially designed for couples.
